The best way to get kids to eat good food is to get them involved. That’s exactly what they do at London’s Cantina del Ponte where children are positively encouraged to roll up their sleeves and join in the fun.
The restaurant’s new family offering comprises a three-course-menu of family-friendly Italian food with the option of a pizza for main course which the little ones can garnish at the table themselves before it’s dispatched to the wood-fired oven to be cooked. Not only is this culinary experience great fun, it’s also great value as children only have to pay ‘their age’ for their meal!
Cantina’s family menu kicks off with classic antipasti to share of bruschetta and Italian cured meats, followed by a hearty main course that might be chicken, fish or the all-important DIY pizza. Dessert is not forgotten – not when there are kids at the table! – and there is a selection of popular dessert from the Cantina menu such as tiramisu, pannacotta and homemade sorbets and ice creams. Children get complimentary soft drinks with their meal.
The menu costs £22.50 for three courses per adult or £32.50 with a half bottle of Prosecco. This special offer is available at lunchtimes only from the 26th November until March 31, 2012. Please be advised that some changes may be made to the menu according to seasonal availability of produce.
